We are looking to recruit a Remediation Manager for our Sheffield Office (Junction 30 M1) to join our existing management team.  The role of Remediation Manager is a multi-disciplined role occupied by a senior member of staff. The role encompasses a number of responsibilities associated with the technical support and management of the business. In particular, the technical responsibilities associated with the design and pricing of tender opportunities, providing technical support throughout the delivery of projects, and regulatory approval and sign off.

The role encompasses technical and commercial responsibilities during tender stage, and technical support and project management on remediation projects thereafter.

With exposure to a wide variety of remediation technologies, you will be working on a diverse range of remediation projects for clients across the UK.

The role will involve elements of scoping remediation projects, early contractor involvement with clients, remediation design, pricing remediation works, business development and project management.

We are looking for someone who is degree qualified (in a relevant subject) with a minimum of 5 years relevant remediation experience, ideally with a remediation contractor. Other key attributes are experience of interpretation of historical site investigation data and reports; development of remediation strategies, identification of value engineering opportunities and reaching agreements with regulators.  A strong understanding of specific remediation technologies including bioremediation, in-situ process based systems, soil classification, water treatment and soil stabilisation, pricing of remediation works, and experience of client liaison and project management will also be key.

VertaseFLI is one of the largest and most respected technically qualified remediation contractors in the UK. We encompass remediation design, all the readily available and commercially viable remediation technologies, major earthworks and civil engineering. Projects range in value from tens of thousands to multi million pounds and are undertaken all over the UK.

The successful candidate will report to the director and work closely to develop tender opportunities, client relationships and deliver projects.

Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and will include a fully expensed company vehicle, non-contributory pension scheme and discretionary bonus scheme plus the other usual benefits associated with a large successful company.
