Remediation Following rejection of a Remediation Scheme proposed by others, VertaseFLI were appointed to negotiate an alternative remediation strategy, which specifically addressed the concerns of the Regulator. The strategy proposed by VertaseFLI was more cost effective, simpler and quicker to implement. Remedial works comprised the removal of fuel tanks from the existing garage, excavation and disposal of hydrocarbon contaminated soils and subsequent validation of remedial works.
Earthworks
As a result of developing a good working relationship, the Client requested VertaseFLI to continue with the re-profiling of the site to construct formation platforms.
Following the completion of the re-profiling works the Contract was again extended. The additional works included specialist enabling works comprising form work to foundations, sheet pile retaining walls, slabs to shop floor, drainage, street furniture, pavement and car park construction and works to the public highway connection. |
