Summary Working in conjunction with the client and his project management team, VertaseFLI has recently undertaken the remediation of a former STW located within a residential area. The works involved the excavation and removal of some 8,000 m3
of landfill material. Through careful management of site operations and the identification of clean materials VertaseFLI was able to generate some 3,800 m3
of secondary aggregate which was used as structural fill within the proposed development.
Site Works
During site re-profiling 4,000 m3
of clean materials were identified and segregated for use in reinstating the site. Through liaison with the client VertaseFLI programmed the works to enable early release of the initial phases of the development, permitting the sale of the first plots to be completed within the client’s current financial year. Following the successful completion of the remediation works VertaseFLI were retained on site to construct the new surface and foul drainage systems and site roads. |
