Asbestos in Soils Conference

VertaseFLI sponsored the recent CL:AIRE and EIC joint conference on Asbestos in soils on 1st November 2012 with Steve Edgar presenting some VertaseFLI case studies and passing on some of our experiences and comments to stimulate the debate in anticipation of the development of new non-statutory guidance for the industry in conjunction with CL:AIRE, EIC, HSE, HSL, BOHS and the Environment Agency. 

This is in line with the drive for Better Regulation and the government’s insistence that the industry should develop the guidance it requires in line with the Localism agenda rather than waiting for top down guidance from central Government.  Details of the conference can be found here.

C:LAIRE and EIC reported yesterday that they intend to disseminate the event in the near future and due to the level of interest in the topic they are likely to run another event in the new year.
